I wrote, performed, and edited multiple videos as the host of Music in the Mitten. MITM is a pre-recorded music news segment played during its parent show, Summit Sessions Live. This segment played on a YouTube Live Stream and on Central Michigan University radio station 91.5 The Mountain.

Music in the Mitten

As host of the segment, I was responsible for researching, writing, performing, and editing. While working on Music in the Mitten, I became proficient at using editing software Adobe Premiere.

In addition, MITM opened my eyes to the differences between a live production and a pre-recorded program. With experience in both, I am prepared to take on any challenge, live or not.

Already a huge music nerd, working on this segment opened the floodgates to introduce me to the world of music journalism. The music industry in its many facets is constantly producing news and I want to be the one to cover it. Working on MITM broadened my musical knowledge and showed me that there is an audience for music news.
